Cape Le Grand National Park
Having left Kalgoorlie and our surrogate family behind, we ventured through Norseman, refuelled, and travelled south to Esperance. After refuelling at Esperance, we travelled east to Cape Le Grand National Park.
Boys giving us directions
When ever we passed a mountain, Jacob always ask how long would it take to walk up there? We finally walked up a mountain to the boys excitement. Now Jacob has an idea of the walking time frame and the enjoyment that you get.
The boys first mountain climb
We could mislead you and tell you we made it to the top. However one hour into our walk we're only half way there and the climb becomes to difficult for the boys. Zachary is already on all fours and trying to crawl up the steep slopes.
Nature spotting
On our decent down from our morning walk, Jacob spotted our first wallaby, Zachary saw lunch. In fact, there were three wallabies, just three (3) metres away. If you look closely enough above Zachary's hat and mid picture you can see the brown wallaby.
Steven's beach drive fix
After our morning walk we climbed into the car and drove along the beach from Cape Le Grand to Wylie beach which is 22kms. Steven stated, the drive was similar to Noosa North Shore but without the surging tides.
Lucky Bay
Whilst in the National Park, we also explored neighbouring bays. This was Lucy Bay where we spotted a seal. The seal was to far away for the boys to spot.
Sunset over the bay
Having spent two nights and three days at Cape Le Grand, we ventured back to watch the sunset from our campsite.
