The Richardson's Adventures

Our holiday to Western Australia was initiated from the idea of taking our boys on a extended holiday prior to starting school. We have been camping in tent's, and more recently we had a camper trailer for 3 years. While the camper trailer served us well ( over 30 camping trips ), we have upgraded to our off road caravan. The caravan makes life easier for the overnight stay, quick pack up, and it also has air conditioning. Our holidays have been booked for 2 1/2 years and we have been planning in some sort of fashion since. We have upgraded the car to give hassle free motoring, not to mention the great V8 rumble.

Derby to Windjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek

Entrance to Windjana Gorge

She'll be right mate!

Jandamarra production
Live theatre production of Jandamarra, played in Windjana's Gorge. This would have been spectacular to see.  History tells us that Jandamarra befriended a stockman named Richardson, working at Lennard River station until it was forced into bankruptcy.

Tunnel Creek

Surf's up

Entrance

We made it!
Most water crossings were ankle deep with a few that were waist deep, so Jacob used the boogie board and Zachary hitched a ride with Mum or Dad.  The floaty (bubble) on Zachary's back was for safety only.  Don't forget to take a torch with you.  The boys had lots of fun!!!

Sunset over Derby's jetty
We celebrated our last night in Derby with a lovely family at the "Catch @ the Jetty" Restaurant.

Dave (Ding) & Angela
SMALL WORLD, can you believe that Steven met Dave and Angela ten years ago on his European Tour.
