The Richardson's Adventures

Our holiday to Western Australia was initiated from the idea of taking our boys on a extended holiday prior to starting school. We have been camping in tent's, and more recently we had a camper trailer for 3 years. While the camper trailer served us well ( over 30 camping trips ), we have upgraded to our off road caravan. The caravan makes life easier for the overnight stay, quick pack up, and it also has air conditioning. Our holidays have been booked for 2 1/2 years and we have been planning in some sort of fashion since. We have upgraded the car to give hassle free motoring, not to mention the great V8 rumble.

Robe River Free Camp

Bottom bunk
The boys are always climbing into Mum and Dad's bed.  After this photo was taken we all climbed into Zachary's bottom bunk (bed).  Loads of squealing and laughter happening.

Robe River
Leaving Exmouth we camped over night beside the Robe River which is in the Camps (5) book.  As we pulled in, I took Jacob and Zachary over to explore the river.  Coming back we spotted a better place to pull up camp.  I waved to Steven to bring the caravan over and in doing so, I was almost run over by a man and his dog who heard me yelling out to Steven to bring the caravan over here.
(Free Camp Rage)!!  I had to RESTRAIN Steven.

Our free camp
The boys were disappointed not to have the camp site we spotted, so much so that they cried.  So we distracted them and explored the area as we needed to find kindle for our fire.

Where's Zachary?
The boys had a fantastic time playing, and it wasn't hard to loose them under the fine red bull dust.  They were covered from head to toe (Keeping in mind there are only toilet facilities available here).
All Jenni could say, "At least it's not raining".

Robe River
The boys had there bath in the Robe River.  It was crystal clear.  Beautiful!!
