The boys saw their first male peacock at Manaraka Homestead.  They also enjoyed the thermal springs that the homestead had to offer.

Banka Bank Station

We loved our farm stay at Banka Banka Station.  We compared this stay to Home Valley Station which we found out the next day, that Banka Banka Station is also owed by the Aboriginal Land Corporation. They're definitely onto something here.

We look remote because we are.  We are actually in there overflow area,  not bad!  Felt like we have the place to ourselves.

Blyth Homestead (Ruins)

A Tin Mine was established and then the homestead later built in 1928 where the Blyth Family of ten children resided and worked on the mine.  The youngest Blyth boy had a pet crocodile and would carry it everywhere he went.

Ghost bats and Orange Horseshoe bats are rare and protected species in the Tolmer Falls.  

Wangi Falls

This was our backyard for the last three days in Lithfield National Park.  We also had a visit at night by the Park Ranger who was handing out the census form to fill in.  We're in the middle of no-where and they can still find us.

Magnetic Termite Mounds

 In the back left corner of the photo there were hundreds of the Magnetic Termite Mounds, Jen thought they looked like tomb stones. The mounds are aligned north to south to minimise the exposure to the sun.

The day was spent opening presents then baking Mum's birthday cake.

We had barramundi a few nights in a row for both Jen and Zachary's birthday dinners. A surprise birthday dinner by Dave and Angela and another yummy birthday cake.  Yum!!

We celebrated Zachary's birthday in Darwin at this fun outdoor swimming facility with Dave, Angela, Jack and Holly.  It was a free water park/ playground similar to Harvey Bay's water park, but three times the size.

Steven did a one day fishing trip on a charter boat with Farmer Dave (Ding), his son Jack and Father-in-law Jim.

We finally made it into the city to explore the touristy things that Darwin has to offer.  Zachary is feeling much better.   In fact, the biffo between rivalry brothers was back to normal.

Quiet Day

Our first full day in Darwin was spent with Zachary not feeling well.  We took him to the local Doctor and he has a right middle ear infection.  Hence, Zachary slept most of today.  Quiet day for everyone!
